Executive Committee Members for Vent-A-Hood® and Milestone Distributors Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Finalist

RICHARDSON, Texas – (May 29, 2013) – The family-owned businesses of Vent-A-Hood® and Milestone Distributors, headquartered in Texas, today announced that executive committee members William Miles Woodall, III, Kirk Woodall, Blake Woodall and Blair Woodall were named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Finalist in the Southwest Area North Awards Program.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Recognized for their contribution to the kitchen appliance industry, to American manufacturing and to multi-generation family-led businesses, the Woodall family members have pioneered indoor cooking ventilation with Vent-A-Hood®, the oldest manufacturer of residential range hoods now celebrating its 80th anniversary. Similarly, Milestone Distributors has become a premiere kitchen appliance distributor, representing Viking appliances and other leading luxury brands, with the exclusive territory for showrooms and Milestone culinary centers throughout Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona.

That business success has led to philanthropic endeavors for the companies and the community in return. Through a scholarship program, continuing education programs, civic volunteer duties and more, the family has left a lasting impression on its local community as well as the national and international customers who are served each year.
