Vent-A-Hood® Announces its 2016 North Texas Scholarship Recipients

RICHARDSON, Texas – (August 15, 2016) – Vent-A-Hood®, the company that created the modern residential range hood, recently announced the recipients of the 2016–2017 Vent-A-Hood® Scholarship Fund. The three students are graduates of North Texas high schools and each received a one-year scholarship between $2000-$3000.

Since starting the program in 2000, Vent-A-Hood has awarded more than 100 scholarships to outstanding North Texas students as they pursue their higher education.

“Vent-A-Hood® congratulates these hard-working students and wishes them continued success pursuing their dreams and achieving their educational goals,” said Miles Woodall III, CEO of Vent-A-Hood®.

The 2015-2016 Vent-A-Hood Scholarship recipients include:

  • Adrian Sanchez - beginning his freshman year at Sam Houston State University at Huntsville, Texas. He plans to study criminal justice and law enforcement.
  • Lauren Wells - going into her senior year at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She is studying computer science with a mathematics minor.
  • Brian Butler - will be a second year graduate student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He is studying theatre costume design.

All scholarship recipients are children of Vent-A-Hood® employees.
